What it does
We are developing electrochemical devices to treat biofilm infections in orthopedic implants, including joint replacements and fracture fixation hardware. Today, these infections are extremely difficult to cure due to biofilm formation, often forcing patients to undergo multiple surgeries and implant removal. Our technology targets and eradicates biofilms at the source, offering a fundamentally new approach that could reduce reoperation rates and transform the standard of care.
