Beginning as a volunteer of SRA FM in Melbourne then founding member of the SYN FM staff she then moved to 3RRR FM as Talks Producer and presenter of the Monday drive program "TransitLounge". In 2005 Zan took up a permanent position at triple j presenting Weekend Lunch while also reporting for "Home & Hosed" and "2005" the new releases program. Over the years Zan has moved within the program grid but has called triple j Mornings a happy home since 2008. Zan also regularly fills in for Richard Kingsmill on triple j's new releases program "2011" always named after the current year. Zan has reported regularly from music conferences and festivals around the world including Oya Festival Norway CMJ NYC Big Sound Brisbane ATP UKNYC and SXSW USA since 2004. In addition to a daily radio show Zan is also a monthly contributor to triple j magazine with the "Fresh Meat" page and has presented regularly for triple j tv. She appears as music news correspondent for ABC News Breakfast on ABC1ABC24 fortnightly on "The Beat" reviews music monthly on Richard Glover's Drive on 702 Sydney as well as appearing fortnightly on Raphael Epstein's Drive on 774 Melbourne. Zan is a regular Australian music correspondent on BBC Radio1 for with Annie Mac and has appeared on Channel 10's "The Project" and ABCTV's "The Drum". Zan DJ's at various festivals around Australia including Falls Festival Meredith Music Festival and Sydney Festival. She has MC-ed major events in Sydney's Domain and for Vivid Sydney and has presented and participated in panels and discussions at various conferences in Australia.
