As University of the West's experimental pilot program from 2004 to 2007 Extended Studies Programs now offers online courses through an innovative delivery system. Pre-recorded courses are made available on the web and supported by interactive e-mail discussion forums and live chat communications with instructors. Individual students may set their own schedules for viewing the lectures within the directed overall scheduling of assignments. Classes delivered live on campus similarly are streamed online to selected groups and individuals at several sites in North America and East Asia.
