Home page of Kenelis from Brighton. Brighton based Kenelis fronted by Mel Sanson deliver a hard hitting mix of Punk Rock & Grunge. Not afraid to show their softer side with ear pleasing melodies Kenelis have always had a successful cross genre appeal. Kenelis infamous high energy emotive performance has seen the band share the stage with the likes of Reuben You Me at Six The Blackout Fightstar Ghost of a Thousand and The Levellers. Kenelis accolades include Brighton Music Awards 'Views Choice Award' 2013 Room Thirteen band of the month NMT band of the year and G3 magazine's band of the year. The Kenelis 'Move' EP produced by Chris Coulter Arcane Roots was released on 10th December 2012. 'This is the best thing I've ever done' Mel Sanson proudly declares. Since moving to Brighton in 2011 Mel has teamed up with some of the best local talent fusing Hard Rock Punk Rock Metal and Grunge to create a Power House EP of hard hitting riffs and ear pleasing melodies. Lyrics are about sticking it to the man women or whoever 'MOVE' is a no nonsense honest reflection of Mel's love for music rants about life and decision to leave her hometown to start Kenelis again in Brighton. The launch was at the legendary 100 Club Oxford Street on 7th December '12 hosted by award winning Feed Me Music with main support from Joan Ov Arc who are the first all female rock band to have a song feature on the X Box game 'Rock Band' and hot new talent Words From Willis. So far the bands career has included sharing the stage with the likes of Reuben You Me at Six The Blackout Fightstar Ghost of a Thousand and The Levellers Mark Chadwick. Exposure includes MTV USA Student TV XFM Total Rock Radio Metal Head Radio and various national and international Radio stations. Kenelis have played various Festivals including 3 consecutive years on the famous Rock Sound Cave at Guilfest.
