Helping Hand House was established in 1984 under the leadership of a local Puyallup woman who had been challenged by her pastor to make a difference in the community. The organization started with only one home but over time has grown to become the leading provider of emergency and transitional housing in Eastern Pierce County Washington. Today Helping Hand House owns or leases 41 single family housing units located throughout the communities of Eatonville Orting Bonney Lake Buckley Milton Sumner and Puyallup.
