What it does
Our goal is to unlock the therapeutic potential of natural elastin. Our initial curiosity was ignited by studying elastin-rich mitral valve transplants. The question that emerged was simple: “Is it possible to isolate and purify elastin for a range of other applications?” The answer was YES. TruElastin has since developed and patented a novel development platform for reliably producing natural elastin biomaterials. This innovation led us to develop our first groundbreaking device candidate, a novel dermal filler that we call TEL219. It was established in Chatham, New Jersey in 2010.
