OZ-SEPA addresses the critical challenge of oil-water separation, a process traditionally plagued by inefficiencies, high costs, and significant secondary pollution. Conventional methods often involve multiple filtering stages and absorbents that are difficult to recycle, leading to further environmental harm. The company highlights that its innovative approach breaks the limits of these traditional separation methods, offering a superior solution for environmental clean-up and resource recovery. At the core of OZ-SEPA's technology is a patented nanostructured filter that directly separates up to 99% of oils from water without any physical change to the oil, allowing for easy recycling. This direct filtering method eliminates the need for secondary or tertiary processing, significantly reducing operational costs and enabling the supply of low-cost, high-efficiency oil spill solutions. The nano-surface treatment creates a highly hydrophilic (water-loving) and oleophobic (oil-hating) membrane, allowing water to pass while completely rejecting oil, thus preventing secondary pollution and making treated water immediately potable (maintaining pollution levels below 3ppm). Recent Case Studies Korea Coast Guard Test: A comparison test with conventional absorbent pads showed that OZ-SEPA's Oil Scooper was 900 times more effective in oil recovery efficiency and significantly more cost-effective (25,000 KRW vs. 1,800,000 KRW for conventional methods for a comparable task).
