Mitico

What it does

Mitico offers state-of-the-art services and equipment to capture carbon dioxide (CO2). Based upon original research and development done and licensed from Caltech, Mitico delivers carbon neutrality for traditional electricity production without sacrificing cost or reliability. Our patent-pending granulated metal carbonate sorption technology (GMC) captures over 90% of the CO2 emitted from post-combustion point sources (flue gases). With a low footprint and few permitting requirements, GMC can be easily and quickly fitted to existing gas-fired power plants. As such, these plants are able to continue operating through their full life-cycle, as well as at night and during poor weather when renewables are forced to rely upon previously stored energy. We will soon offer carbon capture and storage (CCS) at a low cost. The client keeps ownership of the CO2 captured and can obtain applicable tax benefits (e.g., 45Q) and credits.
