ActiveHydron Energy is commercializing a technology to upgrade biogas and purify hydrogen at high efficiency and low cost.
What it does
Hydron Energy has developed the INTRUPTor (Intensified Regenerative Upgrading Platform) technology, which Hydron is commercializing with two different use cases: biogas upgrading to renewable natural gas, and hydrogen purification. The INTRUPTor technology is composed of four core elements: parallel passage contractors, a dynamic rotary valve, a rapid regenerative cycle and a system integration and control unit. The system operates at ambient conditions without vacuum or pressure, enabling low-cost refining of dirty gaseous fuels (biogas, landfill gas, natural gas and syngas) into clean, low-carbon products (RNG, blue hydrogen, ammonia and CO2) in liquid or gaseous form. Led by its Founder, Soheil Khiavi, Hydron will leverage his intellectual property and broad experience to chart a short path to profitability. Several members of the management team have worked together in the past and they are taking all the learnings from previous generations to build Hydron Energy.
