What it does

Forg3D is bringing the metal forming sector into the Digital Age by leveraging an exciting evolution of Wire-Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) technology to drive the next evolution of metal manufacturing. Traditional metal manufacturing methods like casting and forging have dominated for millennia;heating metal and then pressing it into final shapes. At Forg3D, we’re rewriting the rules with our patented AM process, DED STAR. Forg3D has developed a novel process for Wire-Arc Additive Manufacturing (WAAM) that negates the traditional limitations of this technology allowing scalability with no limits, any metal, any size, any shape. With this novel process, we generate new data that allows more accurate modelling and build control, and can even allow the tailoring of microstructures to unlock new potential across alloys and design freedom.
