FeX Energy

What it does

FeX Energy is solving the energy trilemma: completely decarbonizing energy, increasing its reliability and affordably, while eliminating over half a gigaton of CO2 emissions annually and creating a multi-billion-dollar business! FeX Energy is a startup born out of McGill University's world-renowned Alternative Fuels Lab in partnership with Canada's first cleantech venture studio, BXVentures. We are developing a groundbreaking long duration energy storage solution take-away any remaining excuses not to decarbonize. Our team has over a century of collective experience as entrepreneurs, executives, engineers and scientists. We've never worked on anything more exciting and are ready to leverage our experience and talent to make our solution real. At the core of our solution is our proprietary Iron Arc reactor. We're building this reactor into a containerized product, that will deliver heat and/or power to our customers who are currently struggling to get off fossil fuels. Industrial customers like mine-site operators and chemical producers are highly interested in our solution because it can economically decarbonize their processes, adding flexibility and resilience, all while fitting within their factory. This is unlike other solutions which are more expensive, lose energy with time, or require football fields of land to deploy. We are currently raising a seed-round of US $3M to build our first pilot and prepare for commercial deployments. Get in touch if you'd like to talk about this.
