What it does
In the summer of 2018, Pear was introduced to Jason and David by a Pear Fellow at Wharton. Shortly after that, we led Young Alfred’s seed equity round. We helped them build an in-house engineering team and design their product and purchase flow to launch a home insurance brokerage in all 50 states. Young Alfred kicked off Pear’s Series A Bootcamp in the summer of 2019 and closed a $10M Series A led by Gradient Ventures in the fall of 2019. In the fall of 2021, they launched their home insurance API, and we helped them prepare for Series B. This led to the acquisition by Credible Labs.
