What it does

More people are surviving cancer. Cancer survivors live with the constant threat of recurrence. As early detection is associated with better outcomes, surveillance is essential. The 20M cancer survivors living in North America follow up every 3-12 mos with their doctor for a physical exam & testing. The current standard of care, involves tests such as mammograms and colonoscopy that are invasive, slow to get results, expensive, and have a low diagnostic yield. Asima is developing a pan-genomic surveillance testing platform that is non-invasive, can be processed by any clinical lab, and can deliver results in 2-3 hours. We want to change the standard of care to rule out cancer first! Asima’s tests will quickly rule out cancer or identify those patients at risk (<20%) and in need of colonoscopy, mammography, etc.
